The 90 Cones Project was born one year ago today! Twelve months after brainstorming this crazy idea on the way to the orthodontist and making our first stop in Squirrel Hill North (shout out to Nana’s Scoops!), we have visited nearly 37% of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods. We’ve visited old favorites and discovered brand new destinations. We’ve had ice cream, Italian ices, milkshakes, popsicles, snow cones, shaved ice, ice cream sandwiches, and sundaes. We’ve traveled as pairs, trios, and a quartet, and we’ve welcomed friends to join us along the way. We’ve read too many historic markers to tally, and learned a whole lot of fun facts. We can’t wait for all that’s still to come in this project; thank you for your enthusiasm and support!
