The first ever 90 Cones trip! After a traumatic orthodontist visit in Squirrel Hill South, we decided to stop by Nana’s Scoops on Northumberland Street in Squirrel Hill North. In addition to an appealing selection of Perry’s brand ice creams, Nana’s also offers an array of Middle Eastern pastries. Pippa and Liddy had Rocky Mountain Raspberry and Edmund had Orange Pineapple. We took a walk around a few blocks, seeing Tree of Life Synagogue and the campus of Chatham University.

Fun Fact:
The home of Andrew W. Mellon on Woodland Road, now Mellon Hall at Chatham University, featured one of the first indoor swimming pools west of the Alleghenies. (It’s now a conference room where Liddy once attended a meeting.)
