Happy Halloween! We live just a couple blocks from the friendly residential neighborhood of Morningside, and Morningside does Halloween right: elaborate decorations, trick-or-treaters of all ages, and neighbors outside enjoying the night. Pippa (aka Sir Bernard Spilsbury of Operation Mincemeat fame) and Edmund (aka the SciTech thundershark) collected lots of candy, then stumbled upon the pop-up Snocono stand outside the Bulldog Pub. What a treat to be able to cross Morningside off our list on such a fun occasion! Snocono is a local small business with a cool Japanese ice grinder and homemade syrups; as a season-ending special, they were offering free Halloween snow cones. Our family shared a lemon and a mango, both of which were delicious.

Fun Fact:
Greg and Edmund are in Morningside several times each week: they are both members of Scouts BSA Troop 3945, which meets at the Morningside VFW, and Greg is the new member coordinator of Cub Scout Pack 343, which meets at St. Raphael Church.

Those are some great pictures! I bet Snocono was a warmup for the rest of the sugar 🙂
