We are so proud of the way this project has progressed, and as we come up on its one-year anniversary and finally get around to posting the 30th neighborhood, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has engaged with the blog. The 90 Cones Project has been an incredible experience and we are so excited to keep going!

90 Cones was also featured on The Ride Home with John and Kathy on WORD FM. You can check out the interview here (the 90 Cones part starts at 38:30). Liddy came to the show to talk about Christian unity and ended up talking about ice cream instead. (If you ask me, that’s much more interesting).

A big shout out to Immaculate Heart of Mary in Polish Hill for inviting us to their July 11 Great American Bingo, featuring ice cream! We are so excited to explore the neighborhood.

And speaking of neighborhoods where we need some cone assistance: we are noticing that many Pittsburgh neighborhoods appear to have no (or virtually no) commercial establishments and thus pose a challenge for acquiring ice cream. Do you live in Arlington, Arlington Heights, Belzhoover, Bon Air, Chartiers, East Hills, Eliot, Esplen, Hays, Mount Oliver (the city neighborhood, not the borough), New Homestead, St. Clair, Stanton Heights, Swisshelm Park, or Windgap? Do you know someone who lives in one of these neighborhoods? Do you have a connection to a church, organization, or other business in one of these neighborhoods? Do you ever stand on a street corner in one of these neighborhoods with spare ice cream in your pocket? Or, do you know about an ice cream vendor or upcoming ice cream event in these neighborhoods that hasn’t come up in our searches? Let us know: we need your help!

Finally, a promise was made that when we make it halfway to 90 (which is approaching rapidly, hopefully by the end of the summer), we can make some 90 Cones merch.
